Pregnancy Deferral Policy

Prairie Sky Running Co. - Beaver Flat 50

Pregnancy Deferral Policy

The Beaver Flat 50 is committed to supporting all participants, including those who become pregnant. We recognize the unique circumstances surrounding pregnancy and aim to provide a fair and supportive option for expectant mothers who choose not to race.
Eligibility for Pregnancy Deferral
- This policy applies to any registered participant who becomes pregnant after registering for the race.- The participant must notify the race organizers of their pregnancy and their desire to defer their entry.
Deferral Process
1. Notification:   - The participant must notify the race organizers in writing (via email) of their pregnancy and intention to defer their race entry.
2. Deferral Confirmation:   - Upon receipt of the notification, the race organizers will confirm the deferral. The participant will receive written confirmation of their deferred status.
3. Indefinite Deferral:   - The deferral period is indefinite, allowing the participant to defer their race entry for as long as needed. There is no time limit within which the participant must return to the race.
4. Re-Entry Process:   - When the participant is ready to race, they must notify the race organizers of their intention to return. This notification should be made at least six weeks before the desired race date.
Additional Considerations
- Bib Transfer: This policy does not permit the transfer of the deferral to another participant. The deferral is personal and can only be used by the original registrant.
- Race Fee: The race entry fee paid for the original registration will be applied to the deferred entry. No additional fees will be required for re-entry unless there are significant changes in race costs, in which case the participant will be notified in advance.
